SOCS Cougars have a sport for every season! We also invite homeschool athletes to participate on our team. Call us for more information!
Our athletic Director is the fabulous Ms. Emily Wehrmeyer, and our coaches this year are amazing! Students in grade 5th-8th are invited to participate. See our Google Calendar for game dates, and stay tuned here for practice information!
All parents and students need to have a copy of this, sign & turn in the last page, in order to participate. Go Cougars!
Co-ed Soccer is offered in the fall (September-October) with practices 3:30-5pm. Have your water bottle, cleats, shin guards and socks (and smiles)! Parents drive for away games and sell concessions for home games.
Basketball is offered in the fall, for both a boys team and a girls team (November-January). Wear basketball shoes, bring your water bottles and 100% effort! Parents drive to away games, as well as sell concessions at home games.
Volleyball is offered in the winter as a co-ed sport (February-March). It's a quick season, but lots of fun! Knee-pads provided, so just bring your energy!
Co-ed softball is offered each spring (March-May). Parents drive for away games, and sell concessions at home games.
FIRST Robotics competition
Mrs. Essenburg leads our Lego League. Kids in grades 4-5 work alongside adult mentors as First Lego League students, working as a team to research and develop a solution to real world problems such as alternative energy sources, climate change, food safety and natural disasters. Students also design, build and program a robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS technology, providing students with hands on experience to various topics in STEM while also developing leadership, teamwork and creative problem solving skills. This year's theme is "Into Orbit". Students will be creating a Lego Robot to conquer missions dealing with Space! Contact Mrs. Essenburg at email@example.com
