It's January, the start of 2020, we're back in session, and we made it to Friday! God is good to use here at SOCS. We celebrate the return to school, we continue to pray for and praise God for release and protection from viruses, and we celebrate this month's theme: "Be HONEST Servants".
Our custodial staff have worked together and we are grateful for those who have stepped up to deep-clean classrooms over the holiday break, and to cover for maternity leave and surgery. It smells so fresh and clean here, and even the bathrooms are stocked and ready for all of our needs. Our janitorial staff (long and short-term) are wonderful!
And this morning Pastor Pete Benson returned for chapel, focusing on our topic of the month: honesty. What a message of truth he brought! He also encouraged the kids in their relationships here, having come from a small school himself, knowing that friendships formed here can last a lifetime (and beyond).
All in all, we are truly blessed to be kept clean and honest at SOCS thanks to the community we have here! "Now unto him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless [clean and honest!] before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy" (Jude 1:24 King James Version 2000)
