Feasting and Thanks

Each year we celebrate our Pastor's Feast the week before Thanksgiving. This year we had a delightful time sharing our school, our lunch, games and a program with our spiritual leaders. What a gift to be able to do this! Thanks to all who helped make it happen! Thanks to all who came to enjoy this time with the kids!

Popcorn Project: Blessed to be a Blessing

The month of November has focused our chapel and family group times on being compassionate servants. To demonstrate compassionate service, we discovered an opportunity for our students: bagging up popcorn (donated by the Grand Haven 9 movie theater!) for local Kids Food Basket "supper sacks" -what a joy to be able to serve and give out of the abundance with which God has blessed us. Watching this video informed the kids about why we are doing this, who will get the food and what this means to other kids. We are thrilled to say for our first time doing it, that our students did an excellent job!

Is your bucket full?

This morning our preschool class got to join our Kindergartners to read "How Full is Your Bucket?" by by Tom Rath (Author), Mary Reckmeyer (Author) & Maurie J. Manning (Illustrator). These pictures of their time together are bucket-fillers for sure! Be filled today!
