We were both privileged to be some of the very first students when South Olive Christian School opened in 1951. It was also a privelege to see our three children graduate from SOCS and now our grandchildren are students there. The classes are small and each child recieves personal attention from our dedicated Christian teachers. The family atmosphere is very evident here in South Olive. Because it is a smaller school, we all share each other’s joys and sorrows, praying for each other and our families. We truly love our school here at South Olive! God has been faithful through past generations and we continue to trust Him for the future. -Larry and Arlene Nienhuis

South Olive Christian School offers the best spiritual and educational opportunity for my children. Christ is invited into the classroom every day with prayer. Christian values and perspectives are taught in daily social and instructional situations. The South Olive Christian School experience is a vital building block to teach my children that true happiness and success is found in serving God and others. My children receive a better education in a class of 15 students versus a class of 35 students. The teacher has a better understanding of my children’s learning strengths and weaknesses and can tailor teaching techniques to best reach my children. The teaching staff views each child as a precious and unique gift from God.

As parents we’ll never forget the excitement our children had in attending SOCS. during those first years. It was wonderful to see how our children were like sponges and “soaking up” what their teacher was telling and showing them. Because of small class sizes we could frequently communicate with these teachers, so we felt totally comfortable with what our child was learning. Their teaching was so solid and as a result gave our children a foundation that they were able to build on!
